West Mercia Search and Rescue is a voluntary team based in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire in the UK.
They are on call 24 hours a day to respond with the emergency services to reports of missing vulnerable people. In 2015/16 they responded 80 times and gave over 10,000 hours of their time.
They operate on land and on waterways and have an experienced team of water rescue professionals who can respond to major flooding incidents across the UK.
As part of their standard equipment the water rescue team is issued with our waterproof VHF radio cases and dry bags to carry emergency medical kit on the boats and in their vehicles.
As with many of the voluntary rescue teams in the UK team members are forced to pay for their own personal kit and we are happy to offer West Mercia members - and any other voluntary rescue members - support in the form of a discount on personal kit.
