Our winner is Phil Taylor from Bacup in Lancashire.
The beautiful dramatic photo was taken on Saturday 21st October 2023 of the Farne Islands lighthouse from the beach at Bamburgh with his Samsung inside an Aquapac 358 phone case.

Phil had been working in Edinburgh on the Thursday and Friday and had always planned to break the return journey by staying in Northumberland for the weekend. However, he hadn’t anticipated Storm Babet would be quite as dramatic as it was! The Saturday was the last day of the storm, it was raining on and off, the wind was still strong, and the sea was dramatic with spray going in all directions. He decided to walk on the beach from Bamburgh to Seahouses and back. The conditions made it an easy decision to use the Aquapac, the phone stayed dry, and I was able to snap several dramatic photographs.
Here is a little bio on Phil and his experience of Aquapac’s.
As a retired Design and Technology teacher, I now work for a charity promoting engineering to able students, Arkwright Engineering Scholarships and I also work for one of the major examination boards giving advice to teachers.
Living at 1200ft above sea level, in the Lancashire Pennines, it’s perhaps not surprising that Phil says:
I love mountains. I walk up them; run up them; cycle up them; ski down them; take photographs of them and camp near them.
Until recently my hobbies were still running and cycling, I had become a duathlete, the pinnacle of my career being a Bronze medal at the 2018 European Duathlon Age Group Championships in Ibiza. He hopes to return soon to these activities after an injury. Here’s Phil doing the North Coast 500.
My first Aquapac was a prize – a keymaster! The Dentdale Fell Race in 2009, the penultimate race in the English Fell Running Championships that year, I was third V50 in the race and went on to finish second V50 in the Championship series. The Aquapac, fifteen years later is still going strong, it’ small, but perfect for car keys in wet weather!

Winner of our second prize is Sergey Klymenko from Kazakhstan
His fabulous photo was made with an Aquapac phone case in Turkey. Sergey writes: Last summer I was in Turkey with my family. I took my board and Aquapac 349 case with me. One morning I visited Göynük Canyon for canyoning. In my humble opinion this is the most beautiful place in Turkey (I visited all regions in the country). I had to swim, walk in the water and climb. But my phone was always safe due to the case. I made some photos with my phone and video with an action camera.
I bought an Aquapac phone case and an Aquapac camera case.
I am a SUP board enthusiast as well as photo and video creator. For the last six years I spent my weekends on rivers, lakes and even seas paddling. So, waterproof cases are a must have for me. My Aquapac phone case is always in my lifejacket pocket. I am able to make photos and videos and answer phone calls while paddling without fear to drop my phone into water.
So, after 3 years of possessing I am fully content with both Aquapac cases I have. Thank you for the great product!
Sergey chose an Aquapac drybag as his prize
