Dave Cornthwaite was Aquapac Outdoor Champion 2012.
His Expedition1000 project involves making 25 human- or wind-powered expeditions of 1,000 miles or more, with the intent of raising over £1m for the breast cancer charity Coppafeel.
He has just completed expeditions 9 and 10.

Between April 3rd and May 22nd Dave travelled 2,115 miles in consecutive endurance challenges, separated by only 7 days.
First he pedalled and sailed 1,009 miles across the Atacama Desert in Chile on a Whike. Then he rode 1,106 miles on an ICE Trike, from Germersheim in Germany to Cornwall in England.

In Chile, he was joined for the full distance by Jamie Fulbrook and Ned Aufenast who also rode Whikes, and although the European ICE Trike journey was solo it became a Forrest Gump-like affair, with over 40 people amassing over 1,000 miles between them as they joined Dave on the road.
